19.07.2026: Motortreff “Alte Schweden” / Motorworld Böblingen, Third Edition

When Swedish automotive history meets motorsport, design and community: on 19 July 2026, the ‘Alte Schweden’ motor meet will once again transform Motorworld Region Stuttgart into the centre of Scandinavian driving culture.

The ‘Alte Schweden’ motor meet is inviting visitors to Motorworld Region Stuttgart for the third time on 19 July 2026 and is considered the largest event for Swedish automotive culture in Germany. Around 300 to 400 Volvo and Saab vehicles are expected on the grounds of the former airfield in Böblingen – from lovingly preserved classics to youngtimers from the 2000s.

This year’s focus is on a special exhibition in the Hall of Legends dedicated to racing and rallying for both brands. On display will be historic winning vehicles from circuit racing and rallying – from the angular Volvo touring cars that made motorsport history as ‘flying bricks’ to the legendary Saab rally cars that enjoyed great success, especially on snow and gravel. The exhibition will be complemented by an accompanying photo exhibition and historical racing videos.

In addition, the Motortreff is celebrating several Volvo anniversaries, including 70 years of the Volvo Amazon, 60 years of the Volvo 100, 50 years of the Volvo 300, 40 years of the Volvo 480 ES and 30 years of the Volvo V70/S70. Sales stands, including those of parts dealer Skandix, food and drink offerings, and a children’s programme with a Bobby Car track complete the event.

‘The “Alte Schweden” motor meet stands for Swedish automotive culture in action – from iconic production vehicles to significant motorsport successes,’ says Julian Reichl, co-organiser and event manager at Motorworld Region Stuttgart. ‘The special atmosphere of the former airfield makes the meet unique in Germany.’

Der Motortreff „Alte Schweden“ lädt am 19. Juli 2026 bereits zum dritten Mal in die Motorworld Region Stuttgart ein und gilt als größte Veranstaltung für schwedische Automobilkultur in Deutschland. Auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen Flugfelds in Böblingen werden rund 300 bis 400 Fahrzeuge der Marken Volvo und Saab erwartet – vom liebevoll erhaltenen Klassiker bis zum Youngtimer der Zweitausenderjahre.

Im Mittelpunkt steht in diesem Jahr eine Sonderausstellung in der Legendenhalle, die sich dem Renn- und Rallyesport beider Marken widmet. Gezeigt werden historische Siegerfahrzeuge aus Rundstrecken- und Rallyesport – von den kantigen Volvo-Tourenwagen, die als „fliegende Ziegelsteine“ Motorsportgeschichte schrieben, bis zu den legendären Saab-Rallyefahrzeugen, die insbesondere auf Schnee und Schotter große Erfolge feierten. Ergänzt wird die Ausstellung durch eine begleitende Fotoausstellung und historische Rennvideos.

Darüber hinaus feiert der Motortreff mehrere runde Volvo-Jubiläen, darunter 70 Jahre Volvo Amazon, 60 Jahre Volvo 100, 50 Jahre Volvo 300, 40 Jahre Volvo 480 ES sowie 30 Jahre Volvo V70/S70. Verkaufsstände, unter anderem mit dem Teilehändler Skandix, gastronomische Angebote sowie ein Kinderprogramm mit Bobbycar-Strecke runden die Veranstaltung ab.
